I got lucky this year (lucky, or this pregnancy is good for a lot of sympathy...) and got Thanksgiving AND Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off. As a nurse, that's kinda' unheard of, so I was excited, to say the least. We missed the Romney parents on the mish (they fed the single's ward kids who stayed around), but had a fun time celebrating at the Carlson's.
For those who weren't aware, Mike's Grandpa Carlson owned a turkey farm, and the Carlson's KNOW how to cook a turkey. The turkey cooking baster was passed to Michael this year, and he totally rocked it. He and his Dad barbecued the best turkey, in the pouring rain under a tarp. That's dedication. We were all very impressed.
