Baby Shower!

Well, so much for keeping this current! I decided I need to improve my updating skills so I'm better about it when the baby comes. Oh yeah, in case you didn't know, or have been living in a cave for the last 7 months, Rachael's pregnant!




I just started my third trimester, so I'm about 7 months and due January 11th! We've been horrible about taking belly photos, so I made sure to get one at my baby shower. Better late than never!

The shower was so much fun- Mandy flew all the way from Utah to throw it, which was way above and beyond, as was Mike's mom Lucy rockin' the shower food:



like the culinary goddess she is. It was really really good! Cari was generous enough to have it all at her house, as well as create these gorgeous bouquets and my first "mother's corsage".



Ok, you'll have to excuse the following- it's purely for my out-of-town parents to see what we got. Thank you again to everyone that came!







This is our crib bedding- crib pics to come soon! We just bought it yesterday, but now we've gotta' attack putting it together. We've gotta' move a ton of my parents stuff around to make it fit...Mike and my bro are gonna' be doing a lot of heavy lifting...



The famous monkey harness!! It's like a backpack with a leash- Cari said she saw it on some little kid and made them stop to tell her where they got it. Mike saw it and said, "Wow, your friends know exactly what kind of son I'm gonna' have!".



This is the blanket that inspired my monkey themed nursery.



Aunt Kay's burp cloths that she made- so cute!

And finally, we opened one of the newborn sized onesies, and happened to place it next to a king-size candybar from the shower.



That is gonna' be one cute candy bar!!
